Papa, tu façonnas nos enfances, nos vies et nos rêves, avec la douce patience que beaucoup ont connu.

Pierres de lune et petits gris, Chiffon et poussières. Comment ces mémoires infinies devinrent-elles si éphémères?

Le grenadier et les pivoines; une route sans ligne droite. Le but n’est pas l’arrivée mais le chemin qui y mène.

Sienna parle de chouettes, de lune et de lumière. Nous perdons un phare et gagnons une étoile polaire.

Une chose est sûre, « Bonne nuit » en italien n’a plus le même sens, maintenant que tu t’es éteint. Je t’aime. Pour toujours. Et un peu plus encore.

We’d planned to make girolle toasts for dinner but by the time breakfast was over, not much of the loaf was left.
