When there’s Kalix löjrom left in the fridge after Easter weekend.

Sienna said waffles. Out came the iron, and the batter got whisked together with a handful of grated @svedjanost. A dollop of sour cream, a spoonful of roe, finely chopped dill and chives. A lemon wedge on the side.

You weren’t quite what we had in mind, but you still brought many wonderful moments. Sienna’s green foil egg from the loppis in Ryssa – the one she just had to bring home – her drawing from that summer, and time together. That’s all I needed.

So we stayed home.
Good Friday, we made pissaladière. With a crisp green salad.
And in the afternoon, we finally stepped outside – into the spring rain.
